New to hackathons? You're exactly who we built this for. Here's the rundown.
An intense one-day sprint where teams design and build a working prototype — an app, tool, or startup idea — from scratch, then pitch it to judges. You'll go from idea to demo in a single day, with mentors and workshops along the way.
Everyone 18 and older is welcome — students, early-career professionals, and seasoned builders. We especially champion DMV-area innovators, but anyone passionate about building can join. No degree or experience level required. Participants must be 18+ to attend.
Nope. The first hour is dedicated to networking and team formation, so you can show up solo and leave with a team. Ideas are welcome but not required — we'll share challenge prompts at the opening ceremony.
Your laptop, charger, and an ID. We'll handle the venue, food, and the rest. Bring a water bottle and any hardware your project might need.
Hacker tickets are $25 (to compete) and Spectator tickets are $10 (to watch, learn & network). Your ticket covers entry, workshops, meals, and access to mentors and investors.
There's $10,000 in total prizes — cash, capital access, and real partnerships with the host organizations, plus a VC pitch opportunity through Oasis Hill. The full tier breakdown is announced closer to the event.
Anything you can dream up and prototype in a day — AI tools, consumer apps, B2B software, hardware, or full startup concepts. Judges score on innovation, feasibility, impact, and presentation.
